Who we help/Corporate fundraising events
The room that did not choose the cause.
At a corporate fundraiser, a good share of the room is there because someone bought a table, not because the charity found them. The emotional work starts later, and it starts colder.
It changes nothing about the principle. Nobody sits down at a fundraising dinner expecting to leave having given nothing. The figure in their head may be smaller, and it may need more of the evening to surface, which is precisely why a corporate room needs designing rather than winging.
One note worth knowing: corporate money never attracts Gift Aid, so the design leans harder on individual giving from the people in the room.
At OCU Group’s gala for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a £40,000 target finished at £84,108. See the results →
