Why it matters more than it sounds

A room that can see the number moving behaves differently from a room that cannot. Bidding becomes visible and communal, applause happens at the right moments, and the total itself starts doing the persuading for you.

What runs on it

A running fundraising total

A live figure showing how much has been raised so far and which lots are leading, placeable on any page you choose, not just the projector.

A lot slideshow you control

One lot per slide, holding on whatever is being sold until you move it on. Drive it from the projector keyboard, or from your phone at the back of the room while you are on the microphone.

Names on the leaderboard

Whoever is winning each lot is named, which is what makes a room bid again. Guests who would rather not be named tick “bid anonymously” when they bid.

Pledge tiers filling up

During the pledge, the tiers fill in front of everyone, four at £1,000, two at £500, so the room can see itself giving, and see where it still has room to go.

Live and hybrid streaming

Paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Zoom link and remote guests watch the live sale happen while they bid from home, on the same platform as the room.

And when the venue’s internet fails

The screen runs from the on-site event server, so it keeps working whether or not the venue’s broadband does. That is the difference between a total that climbs all night and a projector showing a spinner at the worst possible moment.
